Frequently asked questions

The practical stuff about how Yummy Yucky works. Questions about feeding and allergens live in our guides.

Is Yummy Yucky free?

Yes. The everyday loop is free forever: logging foods with a yummy or yucky verdict, tracking allergens with the 3-day watch, and recording feeds and sleep. Plus is an optional subscription that adds unlimited babies and caretakers, video, and the Journey keepsake.

Do I need to download it from an app store?

No. Yummy Yucky is a web app that works in any browser. On your phone you can add it to your home screen in a couple of taps and it behaves like a normal app, no app store required.

Does it work offline?

Yes. You can log a bite with no connection and it saves on your device, then syncs automatically once you are back online. Handy in the baby-aisle dead zone or a basement nap room.

Do you sell my data?

Never. Yummy Yucky is parent-funded, not data-funded. Your baby’s logs, photos, and reactions are yours. We make money from a simple subscription, never by selling your data, not raw and not “anonymized.”

Can my partner, grandparent, or nanny use it too?

Yes. You can share a baby with other caretakers so everyone logs to the same record. Whoever feeds the baby can log it, and it all shows up in one place.

Can I track more than one baby?

Yes. You can add multiple babies and switch between them. The free plan covers the essentials; Plus removes the limits on babies and caretakers.

What is the 3-day allergen watch?

When you introduce a common allergen, current guidance is to offer it and watch for a reaction over the next couple of days before adding the next new allergen. Yummy Yucky tracks which allergens you have introduced and counts down the watch window for you, so you are not keeping it all in your head.

What can I actually track?

Foods (with a yummy or yucky verdict and optional photo or video), allergen introductions, bottle and nursing feeds, and sleep. There is also a food library, feeding and sleep trends, and evidence-informed guides.

Does Yummy Yucky give medical advice?

No. It is a tracker and a source of general, evidence-informed information, not a substitute for your pediatrician. Always talk to your doctor about your baby’s diet, introducing allergens, and any reaction. In an emergency, contact emergency services.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, on both, plus desktop. It is a web app, so it runs anywhere with a modern browser, and it installs to the home screen on iPhone, Android, and desktop alike.

How do I delete my account or data?

From Settings inside the app. Your data is yours, and you can remove it whenever you like.

I found a bug or have an idea. How do I tell you?

Please do. There is a feedback form linked in the app and in the footer, and a real person reads every note.

Still stuck?

Send us a note and a real person will read it. You can also see what Plus includes or why we built this.
