For pediatric professionals
If you are a pediatrician, dietitian, IBCLC, feeding therapist, or doula, this page is the two-minute version of whether YummyYucky is safe to recommend to the families you work with. Short answer: look at our sourcing and our record, not our marketing, and decide for yourself.
Handouts you can use today, no app required
Free, printable, and sourced. Many professionals use these on their own, whether or not a family ever installs anything:
- How to cut food to prevent choking, by age and shape
- Gagging vs. choking, the difference and what to do
- Foods to avoid in the first years, with the reasons
- The baby poop color chart, shrug vs. call
- The full printables library, and a 1000+ food guide library with age-by-age prep, citations on the page, and coverage of global and diaspora foods most resources skip
What your families get from the app
- Allergen introductions, dated and watched. Every introduction is logged, a watch window follows each first taste, and reactions are recorded with what, when, and how bad, so a visit starts from a record instead of a memory. These safety features are free on every plan, permanently, as policy.
- A visit-ready summary. Families can bring a report of feeds, growth, sleep, diapers, allergen history, and open questions, built from their actual log.
- The whole day, one record. Solids, bottles, nursing, pumping, sleep, diapers, and medicines, shareable across the family and any caregiver you would want informed.
Our standards, stated plainly
Every guide is built from current published guidance (AAP, CDC, FDA/EPA, NIAID, WHO), with numbered citations on the page and a review date. Our editorial and medical policy says what we will not do, and our public changelog records every correction we make. We will also tell you what we have not done: our content has not yet had independent review by a pediatric professional, and we will not pretend otherwise. When a qualified reviewer signs a page, their name and credentials will be on it.
If reviewing infant-feeding content is work you do professionally, we want to hear from you: hello@yummyyuc.ky.
Privacy, because you will be asked
Parent-funded, never data-funded: no ads, no ad trackers, no data sales. The only third-party analytics script is Plausible, a cookieless page-view counter. Voice logging is transcribed on the device. Health photos are walled off from every share and keepsake surface. The full picture is in our privacy policy and plain-English privacy guide.
Recommending, and knowing it mattered
If you decide to recommend YummyYucky, email hello@yummyyuc.ky and we will make your practice a dedicated link and a printed QR card, so you can see whether the recommendation actually helped anyone. No commissions, no kickbacks, nothing to disclose: we do not pay for referrals, we just want to know if the families arrived.
