Privacy
This is a plain-language starting draft, not final legal advice. Have it reviewed by a professional before launch. Last updated June 2026.
Who this is for
Yummy Yucky accounts are for adults (parents, guardians, and caretakers). Babies are not account holders. The information about a baby is entered by the caretakers who look after them.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and a display name.
- Baby profiles: the name (or nickname), optional birthday, and avatar you choose for each baby.
- Food logs: foods, dates, yummy/yucky verdicts, and any allergen reactions and notes you record.
- Community content: foods, recipes, and votes you create or cast.
How it's used
To run the app: to show your logs and allergen tracking, to let the caretakers you invite collaborate on a shared baby profile, and to power community features like recipe sharing and yummy/yucky voting. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
For basic traffic insights (how many people visit, which pages) we use privacy-first analytics that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other sites. We never use advertising or behavioral tracking networks.
Who can see what
Baby profiles and their logs are private to the caretakers attached to that baby. Recipes you mark public, and votes, are shared with the community; public recipe pages show aggregate vote counts but never who voted.
Sensitive information
Allergen and reaction notes may be considered health-related information. Only caretakers on the baby's profile can see it. Please avoid entering more detail than you need.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and any baby profiles you own, along with their logs. Public foods and recipes you contributed remain as anonymized community content.
