Apple and peanut butter oats

9 months+

Keeps peanut in the rotation, with soft apple.

Ingredients

Good to know

Contains peanut: introduce peanut on its own first, and thin the peanut butter so it is never a thick, sticky glob.

No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Cook the rolled oats with milk or water until soft.
  2. Stir in one finely grated or soft-cooked apple.
  3. Swirl through the peanut butter until it fully disperses.
  4. Serve warm.
