Banana and peanut butter oats
9 months+A gentle way to keep peanut in the rotation once introduced.
Ingredients
- • 3 tbsp Rolled oats
- • 1/2 Ripe banana
- • 1 tsp Smooth peanut butter
Good to know
Contains peanut: introduce peanut on its own first, and thin the peanut butter so it is never a thick, sticky glob.
No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.
Instructions
- Cook the rolled oats with milk or water until soft.
- Mash in half a ripe banana.
- Swirl through the peanut butter, stirring well so it fully disperses.
- Serve warm and soft.
