Mild chickpea and coconut curry

12 months+

A soft, mild global curry, no chili and no salt.

Ingredients

Good to know

No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Simmer cooked chickpeas, lightly mashed so none is whole and firm, in coconut milk with soft-cooked spinach.
  2. Season with a tiny bit of cumin and turmeric, no chili.
  3. Cook until thick and very soft.
  4. Serve over soft rice, mashed together as needed.
