Salmon and potato patties

12 months+

Soft fish cakes for little hands, no frying needed.

Ingredients

Good to know

Contains fish and egg: introduce each on its own first, and check the salmon carefully for bones.

No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Flake cooked salmon carefully to remove all bones.
  2. Mix with mashed potato and a little beaten egg to bind.
  3. Shape into small, soft patties and bake until set, about 15 minutes at 400F.
  4. Break into strips or pieces for self-feeding.
