Salmon and sweet potato mash

9 months+

Omega-3s and iron in a soft, easy-to-gum mash.

Ingredients

Good to know

Contains fish: introduce fish on its own first, and check carefully for bones.

No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Steam or bake the skinless salmon fillet until it flakes, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  2. Flake it carefully with your fingers to remove every bone.
  3. Mash into cooked, soft sweet potato with a little milk or cooking water to loosen.
  4. Serve lukewarm.
