Scrambled egg with tomato

9 months+

A soft, savory egg dish, gently inspired by shakshuka.

Ingredients

Good to know

Contains egg: introduce egg on its own first.

No added salt (a baby's kidneys can only handle a little), no added sugar before age 2, and no honey before age 1 (it can carry a botulism risk). More on salt, sugar, and honey.

Instructions

  1. Soften a peeled, deseeded, finely chopped tomato in a little oil over low heat.
  2. Pour in one beaten egg and scramble soft, cooking it through fully.
  3. Serve warm in soft curds, or on toast strips for self-feeding.
