YummyYucky vs Baby Connect

The honest version, with every claim about their product read on their own pages and dated. Where Baby Connect is better, we say so.

What Baby Connect is better at

Longevity and breadth of logging. Baby Connect has been tracking babies since before most current baby apps existed, and its professional plans are built for daycares managing many children, a job we do not do. Its reports and charts are mature, and it can export your records as CSV or HTML files by email (their reports page, checked 2026-09-03). If a daycare runs your days, it has earned its place.

What YummyYucky adds

The food half of babyhood. When solids start, the tracker you already keep becomes the food record: a sourced library of 1050+ foods with prep-by-age and choking guidance, a free allergen tracker with a watch window after each first taste, reaction history for the pediatrician, and a recipe library built for new eaters. Safety features are free on every plan, and our pricing is public: Plus is $99 a year.

On price

Baby Connect's subscription price is not published on their website as of our latest check, and their own subscription page was unreachable when we looked. We would rather tell you that than repeat a number from a third-party roundup. Ours is stated above, and on the pricing page, in real yearly terms.

Your history moves with you

Either direction, honestly. Baby Connect exports CSV and HTML; our importer reads the columns rather than the logo, shows you a preview before anything saves, and never doubles up on re-upload. And if you ever leave us, your data exports from Settings, free.

Frequently asked questions

Is Baby Connect good?

Yes, genuinely. It is one of the longest-running baby trackers, it covers an enormous range of log types, and its professional plans handle daycares tracking many children at once, which almost nothing else does. If you run a daycare, it is probably the right tool.

What does YummyYucky do that Baby Connect does not?

Solids as a first-class record rather than a log line. A sourced library of 1050+ foods with prep-by-age and choking guidance, allergen tracking with a watch window after each first taste, and a reaction history you can hand a pediatrician. Baby Connect records that a feeding happened; we also answer whether the food is safe, how to serve it, and which of the big 9 allergens are still un-introduced. Our safety features are free.

What does Baby Connect cost?

Their subscription price is not published on their website as of our latest check, so we will not guess at it. YummyYucky is free to start, and Plus is $99 a year, stated right here.

Can I move my Baby Connect history into YummyYucky?

Baby Connect can export your data as CSV, by their own documentation (checked September 2026). Our importer reads columns rather than expecting any particular app, so bring the CSV to the import page and you will see a preview of exactly what comes across before anything saves.
